Negin Mirsalehi Skin Care Routine

We all want it! That healthy, pore-less glowing skin, but just how do we get it?

It’s important to have a regular skincare routine and having that perfect complexion will only benefit you when applying your makeup. As we all know, foundation isn’t what makes your skin look flawless, it is having great skin to begin with!

During the years, Negin has built up her skincare routine and appreciate how important this is, stating that she now focuses more on her skincare than makeup. If you have ever travelled a lot you will understand the affects this has one your body and skin, and as Negin knows all too well, its important to make sure you takes care and keep your skin hydrated.

First, to clean her face, Negin uses a Babor soft face cleanser, applying all over in upward circular motions. Not wanting to use anything too harsh on her skin for a daily cleanse this in the perfect product. Rinsing with warm water to remove and using a clean towel to dab over her face to remove any excess product that remains. On the days Negin wants to do a double cleanse, she uses Dermalogica Daily Superdoliant which comes in a powder form. Using a peanut size of powder, and applying a splash of water will turn this product into a paste which Negin will distribute all over her face and neck.

After cleansing and removing all product for her face & neck, it’s important to make sure you are replenishing the skin and adding back any moisture that has been lost. Negin follows her cleanse with the Pixi Glow Tonic toner which will help to exfoliate and brighten her skin. Toner is essential during a skincare routine as it helps to minimise and close pores, preventing any dirt and pollution to enter back into the skin.

Next, Negin uses the Dr. Barbara Sturm Calming Serum which is a new addition to her skincare routine but one she is loving! This serum helps to soothe inflammation and protect delicate cell membranes whilst being packed full of active plant-based ingredients to re-balance irritated complexions.

Face tools are something that is fairly new to a lot of us but Negin is fully on-board with a wide spectrum of ones that she already uses. From Honey Belle’s Jade and Rose Quartz Guasha, Nurse Jamies’ Facial Massaging beauty roller and facial cupping, these are all tools & techniques that have been on the rise over the past couple of years and are no double going to get bigger.

Facial oils are a key step within Negin’s routine and understands that people with oily skin tend to stay away from these products, but interestingly they actually help to regulate the skins oil production, meaning these are essential to build slowly into your routine, especially if you do have oily skin yourself. Applying these products before moisturisers will let them to penetrate deeply into the skin, allowing you to gain all the benefits.

Negin uses a number of facial oils including the Noni Glow face oil, Drunk Elephant’s Virgin macula oil and a recently discovered the ELEMIS pro-collagen rose facial oil which she is really loving at the moment. Warming the products up in her hands, Negin than applies these all over her face in upwards motions, making sure to not drag the face down within any product application.

Facial Cupping uses suction cups to stimulate your skin and muscles, promoting the blood flow. This results in a number of benefits including, brighter skin, minimised scares, fine lines and wrinkles, de-puffiness, and oil production regularity, so it is no wonder Negin has included this within her routine. After applying the face oils, Negin will go over her face and neck, squeezing the cups and releasing on the skin gently creating the suction motion in an upwards and outwards direction.

Continuing to hydrate the skin, Negin will next apply the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream. The watery consistency makes it perfect for mixing with the TAN-LUXE body illuminating self-tan drops, where Negin applies all over her face to give her a warm light glow.

Due to the thin skin around the eyes, these tend to be the first place we start to see signs of ageing, so it’s important to make sure we are using a reputable, skin sensitive product to protect and and fight against this. Negin uses the BIODERMA Sensibio eye contour gel which soothe and hydrated the eye area, reducing puffiness and fine lines.

To ensure her lips stay hydrated and nourished, Negin uses the Brazilian Kiss Cupuacu Lip Butter, infused with cupuaçu, açaí, and coconut oil to cure any dryness, followed by the By Terry Baume de Rose, to give the lips a natural colour.

To finish off her routine, Negin will apply the Supergoop PLAY Everyday Lotion SPF30 with Sunflower extract suncream to her face and neck. SPF is something that we tend to forget about, especially during the winter months but it is important to make sure we wear this everyday and build it into our skincare routine. A lot of make up these days include SPF but it’s always better to apply an SPF specific product to ensure you are protected. A lot of people tend to avoid putting suncream on their face due to the thickness of these products but the Supergoop PLAY Everyday lotion SPF is a super lightweight, non sticky product designed especially for your face.
